Gazing is one of the most profound meditative practices that have been a part of the tradition of indigenous cultures since the dawn of time.

The techniques that Lujan Matus utilizes are derived from the ancient shamanic methods that were taught to the old nagual Lujan by the Tenant. The primary techniques that are taught to those who participate in any of the programs conducted by Lujan Matus involve light and darkness, in terms of the reflective components of these elements, in conjunction with plant energy.

When the shaman apprentice becomes engaged in these plant gazing techniques they will learn how to utilize the four quadrants of each eye. The segments of the eye are then broken up into 16 portions utilizing the pivotal access point of the pupil as the 17th and 18th primary components.

When these techniques are practiced there is a major shift that occurs on a neurological level. The same pathways that are activated when under the influence of hallucinogenic plants are the very same neural pathways that are stimulated by using these techniques. The shifts that occur on the level of perception are so profound that the plants themselves appear as they are when seen in luminous form.

The shaman apprentice learns to train their eyes to identify a silvery blue aura within the segmented quadrants of the eye. The appearance of the blue allows the practitioner to identify the areas within the quadrants that relate to a corresponding element of connectivity that relates to activating the third eye chakra.

This in turn shifts the perception of the shaman through a very subtle maneuver that cannot be retraced back to its socialized origin. This is where the warrior’s journey truly begins.

Lujan also teaches a specific star gazing technique in the recapitulation program. The effects of this method are irreversible, and in combination with all the techniques that one learns in this program, create such deep and profound shifts within the shaman apprentice.

These shifts originate in the right eye and cut off all superfluous connectivity to the unnecessary underpinnings that uphold the world order. These elements are immediately diverted into a silent reservoir that contains the nagual itself or eternity at large.
