Hidden, Hiding, Shadows linger. Hide and Seek but the trick is not to Seek. I’ve noticed that we try to stay hidden behind ourselves because of our insecurities, which propel our internal talk strengthening the hidden ego.
The never-ending hunger for self-validation consumes our minds and energy through internal dialogue by our continuous talk to ourselves. This talk only takes away from the richness of the reality that we can truly tap into. We see people and yet we make ourselves no better for it by indulging in talking about it to ourselves: “I know what he’s doing”.
Have you ever had that thought? I know I have and when both you and I have said that to ourselves we have then validated our own internal dialogue, strengthening it, continuing to pump ourselves up about that we’ve seen something! If we want to truly gain from an experience, the only way we can truly see something is in silence, take it as is, as a witness and let it go bringing yourself to a deeper level of acceptance and understanding.
The techniques help you shut off the internal dialogue and in so doing allow you a richer more joyous experience. Someone cut you off while driving? Turn off your dialogue. Can the cashier in front of you get your change faster? Turn off your dialogue. The impatience, the anger, the self-righteousness, it all inflates our blabbering and in so doing drains us. The trick is not in what you’re doing, but what you do not do. You don’t run that internal talk and the world finally becomes connected, everything flows.
You don’t have to worry about processing information or talking to yourself about what you think needs to happen; Things just happen, as they should from a calm center. The cashier is doing what they need to, all in good time, and that driver who just cut you off was 20 minutes late for work, its fine too. Everything happens and your their for your circumstances, not the other way around, and you feel joy from it, why? Because where else would you want to be? Nowhere because you’re silent: Right here, right now and its beautiful.
I want to practice Dragon’s Tears with Lujan because I believe that there is something more out there. Something beyond this current frame life, something more, I believe there is a richer deeper experience beyond this current level, and I would like to visit that place.
I want to go back to the state in which we once lived as children, were everything was awesome and enjoyable, so I can bring that joy to my own life as well as the lives of others I will meet upon my life path. I want to end the up and down do my part to make this nutty world a better place so that we may all live more cohesively and enjoy more peace then we have in recent times.
I’m sure that whomever Lujan picks will be more then deserving of the scholarship and I wish you all the best of luck!
