Greetings from New Zealand,
My name is Luke Heather. I have chosen to undertake the monumental task of trying to describe in words the impact that the teachings of Lujan Matus has had on my existence. I don’t regard myself to be a very good writer so I apologize in advance if some things I say are hard to understand or even contradictory, but I will try my best.
A little bit about me. As I said above, my name is Luke and I am 27 years young. I was born in New Zealand (Oceania, near Australia), and am of Maori, Rarotongan, Spanish and Scottish decent. I am currently studying to be a chiropractor and am halfway through my first year. I have always been inquisitive and have always felt a deep yearning that something was missing. Over the past 5 or so years, this yearning to add value and substance in my life has gone from a dull whisper to a shout.
I would say over the past three years I have experienced the most growth in terms of personal development than what I had for the previous 24. There has been numerous experiences and lessons over this time that out of nowhere entered my reality, that I am deeply grateful for. One of these blessings is finding the teachings of Lujan Matus.
I first heard of Lujan when I saw him in the Cosmic Giggle. The wisdom in his words were unlike any I have heard previously. I found myself captivated as something about his character resonated with me and found a deeper part of myself understanding the things that he was saying. After I watched the movie I recommended all my friends and family to do the same. I was beginning to get introduced to concepts and ideas that were so far out of my belief system, but inherently made sense to me.
After watching the movie over a year ago I brought the book The Art of Stalking Parallel Perception. I was blown away to say the least. This book I can confidently say awakened something deep inside myself. As I read the words on the page they seemed to jump out at me and dance with my subconscious. As I read on there was a familiarity and kinship that developed, like an old friend was talking to me.
It reintroduced me to the idea of lucid dreaming but exposed me to the concept of gaining esoteric meaning from dreams and the wealth of knowledge that they contain. I can say that the impact that this book had on me was unlike anything I have ever experienced. Lujan has a way with words, conceptualizing usually complex subjects such as the spiritual realm and explain it in such a way that is personal and meaningful.
I have always had plans to attend the Golden Lotus Workshop in Thailand but have been waiting for the right opportunity (if not this year then the next). The reason why the Golden Lotus workshop resonates with me is not only to learn techniques that cultivates inner energy generation and clearing of obstructions but the fact that it promotes deep states of lucid dreaming. Currently I think this is where my personal development has stagnated, as I am unable to lucid dream or have OBE’s. Also the opportunity to meet Lujan in person is something that I would always cherish, if only for the chance to say thank you for the imprint that has been left upon my life.
