As it pertains to human awareness the subject of perception is at once a subject of power, since it calls to mind questions surrounding the very essence of what it means to be a sentient being.
In “The Art of Stalking Parallel Perception”, Lujan Matus strides confidently into powerful territory to speak from within the center of the maesltrom which surrounds the human condition on all sides. The subtitle of the book, “The Living Tapestry of Lujan Matus” is in no small way a message to the reader that merely reading this book invites one upon a shamanic path to receive the light of one who knows. It is an open invitation to engage in the formidable task of reconfiguring one’s perceptual framework to the perimeter of one’s integrity, and in weaving the web of personal power which leaves no visible trace of itself, to therein recover the lost art of stalking the shadow. One who knows and is lost is the shadow.
Fine lines separate wisdom from the contingencies of wisdom: the same old things that pass as fair-seeming truths. Lujan delivers powerful gentleness to a subject matter which by nature is hard to pin down but which ultimately must be grappled with. The inspiration one draws from the Dream Maker’s Realm, from the tales of dreaming portrayed throughout the book, are the gems buried deep in the mine of one’s own heart of dreaming. Multi dimensional insights that possess curiously psychoactive properties which retain active constituents of effect long after the initial encounter.
What I have found since reading this book a few times is that I have felt compelled to adapt to a re-creation of everything I thought I knew. It has served as a catalyst for me to travel to Bali and learn Dragon’s Tears from Lujan, and much to my amazement has contributed to a wondrous rearrangement of the synchronic order of my life.

My friend and I happened upon your book by complete chance. Reading it has been the most powerfully transformative and magical experience! Its arrival in our lives could not have come at a more appropriate moment. We have every intention of re-reading it often - no doubt every time we do it will open up new vistas of possibility and healing. Thank you from the depths of our hearts for this liberating and empowering gift. We are deeply grateful.

I have just finished reading, The Art Of Stalking Parallel Perception. It is one of the most important documents I have ever read. It is a battle ship cruising the sea of infinity laying depth charges set to explode when they find corresponding awareness. Some of those lightnings have already illumined the landscape while others sink even deeper as I anticipate their drift, silently waiting, gathering my resolve…what is left of it.
This book is the clearest elucidation of what it is that we are up against that I have come across. For me the book began to gather momentum with Haunted Awareness, each chapter from then on just building on each other. After each chapter I kept thinking, what can one possibly have left to say after that. It just kept getting better.
There were times while reading the earlier chapters that I noticed that apprehension would surface. At first I would try to dismiss it as I found it distracting from my reading and I would have to re-read a paragraph. In the end I stopped fighting the apprehension and just let it be. For years I have been aware that not every thought I have is “of me” and “my own”. Yet now it seemed that the infiltration was far greater than I imagined. In the apprehension thoughts were laying claim, “Are you sure you want to do this?” “You know what this means?” “Remember the tension, nothing has changed!” Yet in retreating I have complied amidst a myriad of private justifications. Then I read on. My resolve began to gather.. not to do this is not an option. There is no choice! Wow how liberating is that? Let the tension come. Apprehension runs both ways! No more compliance.
I was stunned reading the chapter about the Completion Hieroglyph and what it represents. I have been aware of this possibility for the last 10 years or so. I have read accounts of people that try to describe this state and what has happened to them. Bernadette Roberts and Suzuki to name two in particular. However their words lacked the visual component of your work. They operate almost exclusively on an intuitive level. Intuitively I have been groping towards this, trying even to imagine it. Just to find the words to describe it more fully to myself, to abstractly approach it. I have been like a blind man trying to imagine color. This chapter has been like the approach of dawn before the sun actually breaches the horizon. The landscape is becoming lighter (shadows becoming apparent, now who is apprehensive lol.)
The paragraph where you find yourself on the stairwell, the dreamer, the sleeper and the “third perspective” I recognized immediately in a corresponding account of Bernadette Roberts as she falls down on a hillside and as she lays there her eyes fall upon a flower right in front of her face and the flower smiled at her and she “knew” that the “smile” and the one “being smiled at” and “the smiling” were one. The explanation found in your work gets beyond this poetic description. I wish to cast off everything that would limit awakening to this “unification of awareness.” Your work is a beacon. Thank you.
After reading Castaneda I must say I did not expect to find such a generous concern with our plight and opportunity. I found Castaneda more mythic and your work more pragmatic and immediate with a greater sense of urgency that patiently appeals to a species. I find this “new” mood refreshing. Again, thanks.

Lujan’s book delivers knowledge of a most elusive subject.
To few are the moments when we as human beings can look to what is taking place within our social interplay and understand this process that we partake in mutually within a truth that does not come back later to show it’s inconstancy, it’s fabrication, and emotional irrationality.
This book brings one insight to their most important contribution in this mutual exchange that we individuals partake in, the insight is of our intent…
Our intent without a mask of descriptions, our intentions true and pure as what they are without a buffer to confuse or trick us into a false premise about what we are doing.
Reading this book will give you an understanding of the process which takes place that conditions our beings through our experiences into the behaviors which we express.
And it will give you insight in how to understand what is taking place within your own, and your fellow people, in terms of intentions which do not appear overtly when we express our selves. It will expand your awareness of human interactions and behavior.
Although Lujan’s lessons within the book mainly take place within dreaming, in my opinion only lightly does this book touch upon the abstract in a easily comprehendible way, One must look deeply into the words to be confronted by the immensity of that Abstract. But within the lessons an emphasis is put on our minds, and our intentions as individuals which we share with our fellow human beings within an energetic interplay that becomes the solidification of our social construct here, within this world, that we all must be faced with.

I just finished reading your book and can seriously say that the man that ended the book is not the same that began the book.
A few classic books in the spiritual arena have become jewels of untold insights, for those that have read them, as their perception has been transformed somehow from the stagnated limitation about life at large.
This book is bound to become such a classic as the words are not mere information, but instruments of a transforming power that is behind the energies that brought to life this amazing recollection of power.
You are not alone while reading this book as the dream reality is manifesting its awakening intentions into your conscious mind, even if your awareness is not keen enough to notice. Word by word your sense of self is dying as profound revelations are dawning in your heart, making you gasp at the ridiculous perceptions you once held true. It is amazing how the language is a tapestry of energy as without even comprehending the meaning of certain phrases, your mind is being led to a point of full clarity where the meaning matters not, but the experience reveals the true wisdom hidden. As for those that seek true transformation and not only an experience or knowledge, I can tell you that this is the gateway of power that you have been waiting for.
Do not cry as the manifestation of this unique revelation steals your precious ideas that held together your life. It is but a transforming piece of majesty that will not only make you become what you truly are.
If you are only searching for the most amazing story in the dream realm, you will be thrilled with the detailed imagery and unique landscapes that surround this real life adventure of self-discovery.
