Sound Medicine is an album of deeply healing sonic soundscapes embedded with the ancient solfeggio frequencies.
Each track has been individually crafted and precisely attuned to work within and transmit each of the six solfeggio original frequencies. The compositions contain layers of sacred instruments and sounds such as crystal and Tibetan bowls, didgeridoo and shamanic chants, which work to further enhance the effects of the solfeggio tones.
When used in a certain way, music and sound can bring about powerful transformations for the human body and soul. In recent years information has come to light that what we know as our ‘modern day’ musical scale has been tuned in such a way that it no longer contains certain frequencies and notes that were once acknowledged and used in ancient times for their vast potential for healing and transformation.
The ancient solfeggio is a time-honoured tonal scale that contains a set of notes that have the capacity to transform and bring about realignment and healing. These powerful, yet subtle tones each vibrate at a specific frequency that relates to different parts of the body and aspects of consciousness. Exposing ourselves to these frequencies helps to bring our bodies, cells and DNA back into balance.
- Ali Calderwood is a musician and producer who has released 7 albums under the name of Anima. His compositions are known for the luminous depths of harmonic sound that they contain, which are greatly influenced by many years of immersion within the ancient and indigenous ways of shamanism.
